Last weekend I attended the Hobbywing Korea Cup held at the beautiful GRC Raceway just outside Seoul, Korea! This race was organized by XRAY Korea distributor, Team James, and in attendance were some of the world's best drivers, Naoto Matsukura and Nicholas Lee. The XRAY team was represented by myself and Byung Hwan Kim, as well as many local drivers. I could only arrive in time for one day of free practice due to school commitments, but my car worked great from the start and I only made minor adjustments to suit the lower temperatures.

Once the qualis started, I lost a bit of pace to Naoto and Nicholas, but as the 5 rounds of quali went on, I made some changes to the car and eventually got it fast again for the triple A main finals, in which I would line up 3rd, with Kim in 4th.

As a result of some bad starts in the finals, I was unable to attack Nicholas for second spot and also had to fend off attacks from drivers behind. Overtaking was super difficult on this track so I finished where I started in P3. Unluckily, Kim had some mechanical problems in A1 and A2 in which he finished both finals in 10th, but the speed of his T4 was clear as he won A3 in style!
I had an amazing time in Korea as always, and my biggest thanks goes to James Park from Team James for sponsoring and supporting me for this race! Also to Byung Hwan Kim and Yoon Tae Won for bringing me around everyday! And of course to all my sponsors for their support!
